Church Growth and Dedication Services…

By the time we arrived in Ijaw Land construction was nearly completed on the 2 churches we built in Ajakurama and Abere.  These facilities were funded entirely by the contributions of Nigeria-Ijaw Ministries and our supporters.  On the behalf of many very thankful new Ijaw Christians and myself I want to express our deepest appreciation to all our contributors.  The swift progress we are making is having a huge impact on the Egbema Kingdom of the Ijaws.

This congregation is 13 months old; birthed 2 days after my first crusade in Abere, Nov. '02.

Since first bringing the Gospel into Ajakurama a great door has opened among the Egbema Ijaws.  Other churches are now beginning to enter the land and it was very encouraging to see their Pastors present at our Dedication Ceremonies.  The Chiefs and Elders of the communities were also present.  These Dedications were a huge event and marked a significant milestone in the establishing of the Gospel among the Ijaw.  Especially amazing is the fact that the primary spiritualist cult among the Ijaws is rapidly diminishing in the communities where we are preaching the Gospel, and they are all turning to Jesus.
